The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of ZJUSS is a national key clinical specialty. It is one of the China's most powerful clinical, teaching and research centers. It is the only first-class discipline doctoral point of stomatology in Zhejiang, and is also a post-doctoral research center. There are two doctoral supervisors, four master supervisors, four chief physicians and two associate chief physicians in this department. A medical team with high quality and rich clinical experience has been formed, which is mainly engaged in the treatment of congenital deformity, maxillofacial tumor, orthognathic surgery, oral and maxillofacial trauma and fracture. A number of characteristic specialties have been set up, including the multi-discipline combined treatment center of dentomaxillofacial deformity, the comprehensive treatment of temporomandibular joint disease, and the comfortable and minimally invasive alveolar surgery. Advanced technologies and methods have been adopted to diagnose and treat relevant difficult cases, so as to meet the needs of patients in the whole province and surrounding regions.

The Stomatological Center of Zhejiang University is under construction. It has 100 beds, six central operating rooms, 11 outpatient operating rooms and six SICU beds. It has a surgical microscope, joint endoscope, surgical navigation and live operation system. It is the largest regional medical center of oral and maxillofacial surgery in Zhejiang.
