The Department of Oral Pathology (Teaching and Research Section) is the awarding point for the Master of Stomatology in Zhejiang University. Thedepartment is mainly responsible for clinical pathological diagnosis and provides rapid diagnosis of intraoperative freezing for surgical patients.In addition, it alsoundertakes teaching and scientific research of our hospital, andconducts expert consultations on slices across the province.The team in this department consists ofone experienced expert, one chief doctor, one attending doctor and two technicians. The doctors have comprehensive theoretical knowledge and rich clinical experience,and pay attention to grasping the development trends and promoting various clinical new technologies.

Technical advantages:

1、Biopsy histopathological examination:makingpathological diagnosis of various oral and maxillofacial diseases through gross examination, making histological sections, microscope readings and other additional working procedures. Except for some special difficult cases, reports will be made within 5-7 working days.

2、Intraoperative frozen pathological diagnosis: Frozen pathological diagnoses could give a quick diagnosis within 20-30 minutes anditsupports better treatment plan during surgeries. Our diagnoses are well accepted by domestic and international experts and we have reported many difficult cases in the academic conferences.
